Several Lincoln-area sites have joined forces to encourage families to get out and explore attractions during the month of April.
Field Trip Across Lincoln and Beyond is a partnership between the University of Nebraska State Museum-Morrill Hall, Pioneer Park Nature Center, LUX Center for the Arts, the International Quilt Museum and Spring Creek Prairie Audubon Center. This new program encourages families to explore art, nature and history by visiting local museums and outdoor spaces.
Throughout April, participants can visit each location and follow activity instructions provided in the official passport. In exchange for completing a task, participants will earn a stamp from the location. After all stamps are collected, a photo of the completed passport can be submitted to fieldtriplnk@gmail.com to be entered for a chance to win prizes. Prizes include art classes, family museum memberships, a wren house, puzzles, bird feed and seed and more.
Starting April 1st, participants may pick up passports at any of the Field Trip Across Lincoln and Beyond sites.
Field Trip Across Lincoln and Beyond is free to participate. Admission costs for museums still apply. Visit each participating location’s website for hours of operation and admission information.
